Ingeborg Kristensen Hoftun (left), Hanna Sandholt Hansen, Camilla Brørs, and Maren Aaberg greatly enjoyed the Reistad race, despite some cramps along the way.

Great experience - Promises to return

Reistadløpet gathered just under 1000 runners for the start. For the vast majority, the event is tempting to repeat.

- We'll be back, guaranteed, says Ingeborg Kristensen Hoftun from Suldal, Hanna Sandholt Hansen from Nannestad, Maren Aaberg from Lørenskog, and Camilla Brørs from Steinkjer.

All four girls completed the 50 km distance on Saturday, in brilliant winter weather and perfect tracks from Setermoen to Bardufoss.

- Absolutely fantastic, couldn't have been better conditions, say the girls.

For Hanna and Maren, this was their second time participating in the Reistadløpet. Their first was last year when they were in the military at Bardufoss. The other two made their debut in the ski race which was first organized in 1958.

- The conditions were great with both good grip and glide in the snow. We couldn't have asked for better conditions, say the girls, satisfied.

Three of them attend NTNUI in Trondheim and compete for the team they have in the Ski Classics. They have a total of eight runners on this team.

- But we are not living the Lord's merry days for that reason. We are students who train skiing on the side, say the girls, smiling as brightly as the sun.
